Is my outfit okay for a masquerade dance?

shytown asked:

I have a super-gorgeous mask: it’s black, covered in glitter, and has a couple feathers sticking out on the right.

Now to go with that I have a nice ruffly black button up shirt, not too formal, so not casual. I’m wearing a skirt that flares out. It’s bright red and knee-length and flowy.

I’m probably going to wear black heels and big, over-the-top jewelry.

The only problem is, if I wear a dress, mine are either really revealing or too formal or make me look like a five year old, and I am a dancing idiot– it’s kind of hard to dance in my dresses…

Do you think it’s okay? Obviously I’ll have my hair all nice and be wearing my contacts (usually I wear glasses).

I just don’t want to be the only one wearing a skirt, or the only one not wearing a dress.

Opinions? I have someone I want to impress. He’s not gonna be impressed by someone in a micromini (which I never wear, this is practically the only skirt in my closet) and a tank top, he’s a pretty mature, kind, and sweet guy.

What do you think?
It’s for school, and you know how we kids dress, super-casual even to a wedding ;)

Want to change the way I dress?

dj_c5 asked:

First, I want to say thanks for your advices and tips.
I’m a 23 year-old guy who wears clothes that I feel comfy in pretty much for almost 4 years now. I.e: Jeans with T-shirts, flip flops; or shorts with polo shirts, dress flip flops, ect…reasons for wearing flip flops most of the time is I can’t stand having my feet covered in a hot summer day; of course I wear dress shoes and button up shirts and pants or a suits in formal occasions like weddings and such. But I realized that it’s time for me to change a little bit the way I dress. Would you please give me some pointers, tips.
P.S: I’m not into baggy clothes, tight jeans, oversized polos shirts.
Again, thank you for your advices.

I leave on April 4th (in 7 days!!) for Greece, and I will be gone from April 4th to April 12th (9 days inclusive). Here’s what I know I have to pack:
10-12 shirts (extras just in case one gets dirty)
9 shorts (plus a few pairs of jeans if it’s colder)
a semi-formal thing (dress pants, oxford shirt and tie)
10 boxer shorts
3 or 4 undershirts
10 pairs of socks
athletic shorts/t-shirt for pajamas
Good walking shoes
Sandals for the beach
Swimgear

I know the USA 3-1-1 regulations for the TSA…
Deodorant
Razor and shaving cream
toothbrush and toothpaste
mouthwash
Purell
kleenex packs
shampoo and conditioner and hand lotion
nail clippers

Camera (digital) and plenty of memory and batteries
DVD player and MP3 player for the plane (it’s a 14 hr flight)
A good book for the flight

Can you think of anything else that I’m forgetting? I’ve got my passport in a holder to wear under my clothes and I’m going to put money in it too, I know I need to get some Euro before I go

Which advice is correct regarding men’s dress shirt collars?

PostGrungeJunky asked:

Hi! At one site I read a spread collar is for more formal occasions and should always be worn with a tie. Also, a point collar is less formal and can be worn with or without a tie.

Another site states the type of collar depends on the shape of your head and men with round faces should avoid spread collars. I don’t have a round face…

My question is does the collar depend on the occasion or the shape of one’s head? What are the rules for picking collars?

college guy with new clothes, what to do next?

David J asked:

So, me and my sister went shopping together. We went to Kohls, AE, Target, and Bannana Republic and Martin Osa. We bought 4 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of kaiki shorts, 2 cool t-shirts, 2 nice long sleeve button up shirts, 3 polos, and some brown puma knock around shoes. Going to college(SD State next year) and i don’t really know what else I need and what i should be wearing to class everyday.
We also found some basketball shorts and she(my sister) said I will wear them really often. Morning classes, lounging, stuff. But my problem is, i really don’t know what to wear on the first week. I do 3 nice polo’s but those are kinda fancy. So other than formal dances i dont have a lot to wear. Help please

Fashion advice?

arrocket8 asked:

If a guy wears some nice jeans and a button up shirt, does he need to tuck in the shirt? It’s not a formal occasion. And what if it’s one of those shirts that are a little too long, because they’re meant to be tucked in?
